Shorts for summer

I need to go out and buy all new shorts. I went to Old Navy and nothing fit. If they were big enough for the legs and butt, the waist was way too big. Anyone have anything they can think of?

Actually, since I can only wear carpenter's jeans, I got carpenter's shorts. They might not be the coolest thing to wear, but they fit.
