    What was your worst injury?

We were going over unilateral facet dislocation's in radiology and it looked like it would hurt like a *****.

So, Im just curious as to what your worst injury/tramua ever was and how were you treated?

Left long finger in a fan. Dislocated the finger tip joint, severed flexor and extensor tendons. Basically half my finger was hamburger. They just stitched everything up. I have no movement in that finger joint now. They tried physical therapy to gain movement, but the tendon ways totally locked up with scar tissue. Tryed nerve repair after 10 months to try to gain feeling, but it did not work. Off from lifting for 14 months.

I was squatting in high school I was doing box squats had 550lbs on the bar, coach said put some more weight on there. I went down , barely made it up. I had a hurnia sticking out below my belly button, to the left, lower abdomin. I was taken to the hospital, now I have something that looks like a bad mitten inside me. That mesh, then covered with this stuff to let tissue grow back over it. Hurt like hell. 2 weeks later, I was back in spring training.

Damn that sucks. Is this why you type in caps?

Only thing I did really bad was break my leg back when I was 14. Playing roller hockey in the street and some kid decided to check me. My break got caught in the curb and my whole upper body fell and my leg didn't. Clean break through both bones. To this day I never wear a break on my skate, or I buy a pair without it.

I had a slipped, ruptured, bulging disc that was pinching my ciatic nerve. This was a result of improper form on barbell curls. I was only 16 at the time so needless to say not up to par on proper form. I had back surgery 6 months after hurting it, but during that time I had a major limp and looked like an idiot. Now 12 yrs later I am much better but still have back pain every day.

damn. these are alot worse than I suspected. Ive never had any major trauma. Ive had about 8 sets of stiches and a dislocated finger.

Damn, it seems like everyone has had a major injury here. I've had lots of stitches, and a broken thumb that had to be pinned, but that's about it. I do have some back pain though from various injuries - probably a slightly deviated disc or two.

i have 2 many to count. my wrist obviously. also when i was in 2nd grade we lived on a very steep hill. my buddy cam over to ride bikes and wanted to ride my new bmx. we switched bikes and his didn't have any handle grips. as i was riding down the steep hill my hands slipped off and i went over the handle bars and slid down the hill on my face. i just woke up in the ER and had no idea what happened. i was so bad my parents didn't let me look in a mirror for a couple of weeks. i was out of school for almost a month and on the day i went back it was picture day.

Mine was a car accident - I have broken just about every finer and toe, but no major limbs.

My worst has to be the time I seperated two ribs from my sternum in a HS wrestling tournament. Being me, I didn't stop until after the match. I had to lay in bed for two weeks. There is no treatment for this, just rest. It hurt to breathe.
