NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Associaiton) is the best, but you need a degree to sit for it. The top of all is to make it to CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists). But, here again, you need a degree to sit for the class. The head quarters for NSCA is here in Colorado Springs where I live. The US Olympic Training Center is here too and most graduates from NSCA land jobs training Olympic Athletes or go on to teach S&C at some school. Next, IMO, is ACSM, then ACE, then AFAA. What I like about AFAA is they have a follow up class called "Weight Room Certification" or something like that and it gets really deep into Kinesiology which will make you a cut above the rest. I've known some ISSA guys and most of then didn't know shit. That doesn't mean ISSA is bad but that you can pass it with little working knowledge.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.
how far do you want to take your personal training? as a side job or a career..if its just a side job go with issa or ace, most gyms take pretty much anything, atleast in my area...But if you want to make training a career go for a degree such as what t-man suggested
