No, I figured out how to nip that one in the bud. My wife used to call for no reason so I started giving her a play by play and she doesn't do it anymore. When I leave I'll say, for example, "I've got an appointment at 10 and 12 and then some errands so I'll see you later this afternoon." She wont call because she knows when I have an appointment I wont answer the phone. But if I just leave and say "see you later" she starts calling in a couple hours. It's some chick thing and we will never understand it.

But to other comment, I hate talking on the phone. I have a couple people I chat with because they make me laugh my ass off, other than that I get to the point and off the phone.

I don't know why they do that. I guess it's an insecurity thing. Not in a bad way but in the way that they just feel secure knowing what you're doing. The only thing I know is I will never understand why they do what they do. And when my wife does something that fustrates me, like throwing stuff away without asking me first, I have to remember to tell her calmly how much that pisses me off. My wife used to always throw stuff away for no good reason. And sure enough, I'd go looking for it a few days later only to find she decided it's fate. I can't tell you how many times I yelled at her for that. But when I learned to talk about it calmly, she got the hint finally. Women don't respond to yelling very well. It gets their attention but they dont hear a word of what you say because their feelings are hurt from the yelling. Atleast, that's what I've learned.

wow i think we married sisters.....SHE ALWAYS THROWS MY SHIT AWAY....omg it drives me crazy....and its always something that i'm amazed that she would even think to throw out....or something i really needed....and dude i tried everything....yellin...got know where....calmly....well then i don't even think she heard my voice.....she has selective hearing like no other person i ever met....just 2 night ago...we discussed if i was gonna paint the gameroom before or after christmas....we decided to wait cause the tree will be against the wall....makes simple sense....then last night she pops up and says....hey why don't we paint the gameroom this weekend....i said r u kiddin me....we discussed this last night....and the tree is going up before the weekend....i don't understand u....please stop....i need meds.....and she just goes...oh, ok....

Ahh, yea, I think we did marry sisters. My wife always brings up a topic we just settled a day or two ago. I'll say "we already discussed that and decided..." She'll say "oh, that's right." Wait a minute now, and you're the women who takes care of my baby all day. I gotta tell ya, I worry sometimes. I know I have the better memory but man two days ago! That's too short for anyone to forget.

My wife and I go round and round about this. I only talk on the phone when I need to. I get enough of it at work, and the cell phone and crap. My wife would talk on the phone all damn day. Her oldest son is the same way. Got that damn nextel to his ear or walkie-talkie all the time. I never answer the phone at home, because it will only be for me 1 outa 100 calls. If there s a message on the answering machine for me or one of my parents has called & left a message, the wife will listen to it, then tell me "you have a messsage on the machine from ???" I say what did they want, she 'll follow with it's on the machine. I'm like you listened to the #$%^&* message just tell me", *&^% I don't need to hear it in their damn voice or waste my time listening to it when she already knows what the hell they want. She also use to call my cell phone when I was on my way home from work, usually about the time she thought I should be home.

Me: "Hey" or "Yeah?" depending on how agrivated I am at the timeing of digging a cell phone from my hip, around the seat belt, looking at the caller ID and seeing it's her, when she knows I'm soon to be home, calling for no real reason generally.
Her: "Where ya at?"
Me: "Pulling in the driveway, why"
Her: "nothing just wondering where you are"

Sometimes there's swearing and stuff involved or why you sound so mad and stuff like that. I think she's finally broke of it though and got the hint that I feel just because the japanese invented these little cool phones, I don't need to be called on it unless it's important or an emergency. I don't have th gift of gab over the phone.

Hmmm...I'm thinking I might get flamed here, but I could talk to my wife all day and never get sick of it. She doesn't call me at the office because they have this new fangled thingy called "Instant Messenger" . We often IM back and forth whenever we are around and in front of a computer. I don't like the phone either...but I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather talk to then her and my two kids.

well here is my main point....i hate talking to ANYONE....but its my wife that simply won't get that in her head...lol....i have a couple of buddys that will actually start gabbin beyond the purpose of the call....i simply cut them off and say ok i don't want to talk to u anymore, bye...and i hang up.....they are dudes so the will get over it....but i can't be rude like that to my wife....plus when she is driving home or i am....why do we need to discuss anything...i will see u in a bit....and if we keep talking we won't have anything to discuss tonight..lol but it has nothin to do with my wife....i love her to death.....I JUST HATE THE PHONE
