  • Credit Bureau Question

I've heard that anyone can put a note on your credit to explain certain credit mishaps or whatever...Does anyone know how to do this and ASAP???? Everytime I call one of the reporting agencies I get a damn recording telling me to contact them by mail!

                      Re: Credit Bureau Question

Yeah, get all three from freecreditreport.com or something like that. You will then be able to do a dispute to anything on the report online. You should be able to put a statement on all three as well. Takes 30 days for the dispute to go through though.

                        Re: Credit Bureau Question

it is worth a try disputing, any negative items on record, even if they are legit. If the reporting party does not send letter back explaining, it will be erased. Some company just dont want the bother, and you get it erased

Yep, if they do not reply within 30days of the dispute, it disappears from the credit report.

It takes as long as the dispute does.
