Hey brothers and sisters, it's been a few months! I just got back from the bowels of Hell, a.ka., Iraq. For those who don't know, I work for a DoD think tank. I was "asked" (read: told) to go ever with a team that was training the Army how to use a particular technology, and helping them implement it. I'd like to think that my work, while nowhere near the bravery and sacrifice of many others, has kept a few soldiers that much safer.
I am shocked and saddened by the news of DG. I didn't know him personally, but, from reading what he's posted, and the few online conversations that I've had from him, I can absolutely say that he was a good man. He's undoubtedly helped hundreds of bros in this bigger, stronger game. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
Good to be back, I'm gonna catch up on my reading and see how you've all been!
