I just got off the phone with Rick's mom, Carol, who wants all the speculation to come to an end. She was in tears, and between sobs, told me he is not going to make it. He is on life support and although he seemed for a short time to be improving, that was brief, and he has sustained enough brain damage that he would be in a vegetative state if he survived.
They were in invited over on the night in question and found him in bed under the covers, and presumd he was sleeping. When they failed to revive him, he was rushed to the hospital and has been there since. He overdosed on Heroin, and his mother agreed that I should reveal this to the bodybuilding community to stop speculation of suicide, etc.
She asked me to pray for him and for his friends to join in prayer as well. I assured her we are and would continue to do so
