Re: John Kerry.....
Lots of people like to debate the size of the defence budget. Who is debating THE CONTENT of the defence budget? I'm not talking about the odd research project that you sometimes read about (new vehicles that cost millions just to make the first one, etc.) I'm talking about things like our submarine fleet. Does anyone here remember bush or Kerry talking about the Seawolf program. No. Our LA Class subs are 20 years old and are still better than any other sub produced by a forign nation. Our sub fleet nuclear deterrant can be serviced by a single sub (over 100MIRVs) and the missle technology is far advanced that the sub does not need to leave it's base in Bremerton.
Sorry guys but if the depest we can find ourselfs debating is just weather or not Bush or Kerry changed what they say about an issue based on what type of audience they were facing... then the system has already won. The Matrix has us.
I respect you all. I just feel bad that our media system produces a lot of information that distracts us from considering things that really matter.
