You got me on that one DS. I have to agree with ED though. If you got pain that wasn't there before and it's not going away - go see the doc!

I had an umbilical hernia when I was born. But I repressed those memories.

Just got back from the doc, took 45minutes in the waiting room and 4.5seconds for him to say, Yep you got one. I'm scheduled for outpatient surgery on 11/2. The good thing is that last night I finally hit 300lbs. on my flat bench during my routine

                          Re: Ambilical Hernia

Update: I work out with a gastro specialist from time to time at my gym when my partner doesn't show up. Last night I was at the gym talking with him about my hernia, next thing I know he's got my laid out on a bench checking me out in front of everyone. He said that 1 in 10 guys have this type of hernia and don't even know that its there. He said for me to monitor it or we would together at the gym and see how things go for the next couple of months. He says that sometimes a tiny tear in the muscle lining near the belly button can heal itself without surgery sometimes if its not stretched any further. He didn't say that I should stop lifting at all, just said that maybe I should try to watch my deadlifts and squats for a while. He said that I'm talking to you from a friend stand point and if I wanted his professional opinion to make an appt. and he would take my $25 bucks and tell me the same thing from a dr.s standpoint
