actually the rock itself was $17,200.00 at Ackerman Jewelry store here in Tampa with certification, don't know where you get that number. Either way, I know when I propose to her, she'll have on hell of a ring for sure. You also need to look at symmetry and in what country the stone is cut, as some have much better stone cutters than others. So with perfect color being D, a VVS2 @ 4 karat would run roughly $30K. I know a guy that owns three manufacturing facilities in Cali, Maimi, and NY. He went over all this stuff with me before buying my wife's.

good luck RADO wt her, if she doesn't like the bike, sell teh damn bike, she would rather want u 2 be next 2 her and not 7 feet under. i'am like u i'am a bike fanatic too, wanna get teh suzuki GSX1000, but waiting for something till i get first and then the damn bike. hopefull my bike will be on if everything goes well and they get cheaper in winter time as far for teh time adn especially at the end of the month too

I got my education on those damn rocks when I went shopping for them. And if I want to buy her that, then so be it:p My girl is more important to me than my bike, she just worries I would get hurt or killed on it one day, that's why I use it mostly for track now. Besides you guys have seen what it looks like and how much money I've dropped on it as well.

I would probably sell it to someone who needs a true race bike for the track rather than to a person who wants to ride. VS1 is the one I was looking at, but thanks for the input.

Calm down bud! You can get your girl any karat you want. All i was getting at is you said SI1 F color at first. So what i was trying to say is its not all about the number of karats. If you are looking at an SI1 F color and paying 17K, it may be better to have a much higher quality diamond like a VVS2 with a D color at two Karats and you would be paying about 15k for it and have a much better quality diamond. Just trying to help. BTW, retail is not the best place to get educated on diamonds, as they want to sell you what they have.
