kinda bothers me to hear people say this:

i was reading some where else that a guy is dating a girl that makes 2k a week and he makes no where near that but is *****ing that his girl don't pay for anything they do! ok i agree but disagree i think the man shouls pay for everything for at least the first 3 months you and her are dating maybe she should like plan to suprise you and take you out ot dinner but it should never be expected in those first months!!!! and i think it should be the first 6 months but 3 i guess will be ok!!! what you guys think!!!! ladies also!!!

well, the only reasons you have to pay for things in the behinning is to try and keep her impressed and interested. I guess if they want equal rights it would be nice for her to offer and the guy just to refuse and pay anyway. If she was bringing in the bacon and I didnt have much money to spend I think its fair for him to expect a little somethin somethin.

Why not let her pay?

The whole "men should pay for everything" is from the old days when women didn't have jobs and were expected to stay home and take care of the house/children. They wern't allowed to get a higher education.. and even when they did have jobs they got paid no-where near what their male counterparts got paid.

Nowadays it's a new world. Women get paid the same as men (almost.. stastics still lean towards men, but it's getting close to being even). Women now can work all the jobs men can work. They can't have the best of both worlds (equal rights, AND special treatment).

So I say let her pay. Not everytime.. that would be wrong. But I see no problem with taking turns paying or something of that nature. Especially if she is making double what the guy is making..

I always pay for mine, still do and always will. There are times when we go out and she offers and I always say no, but then SOMETIMES she does end up paying, and it has to be a cheap bill, I wont let her pay anything more than $50 when we go out. That's just me though, I don't care if I'm in the relationship 1 month or 3 years, I always pay.

Now if she's making that much money(which people ALWAYS say I make $85K-$100K ) then she sould volunteer a bit more often, unless she doesn't know this guys doesn't make that much money.

I have a better idea though, tell him to get a better career then

It doesn't matter how much more money she makes than me. If she cooks for me while we're at home then I'll pay everytime when we go out for dinner. If she doesn't know how to cook and she makes that much money then we'll have to split up the dinner costs.
