I don't think anyone is trying to start an argument PL456. Just wondering, don't mean as a flame, but why is it that you are always bringing up touchy controversial topics if you can't take it when someone disagrees. He is only stating the facts about Bush, just because you disagree doesn't mean there is cause for argument. I happen to think Bush does mean well, but how much money, casualties, must we incur on a country that doesn't respect or honor what we are doing?, and for how long?? Wheres the plan? Now N. Korea's nuclear artillery is up and running, while our economy is the worst it has been in thirty yrs. I looked at the debate last wk with an open mind as i was going to vote for Bush, but after seeing, it appears that Pres. Bush wasn't even properly prepared, and it was clear Sen. Kerry was the winner. Reguardless, everyone has a right to his/her opinion.

very true, mick everyone has their own opinion. I was irritated in general the other night, not about anything in here, I dont ever get irritated in here, really. didnt feel like typing for 30 mins to get my point across again to volley back. just tired.....

You made some good points PL and I do respect your opinion. I am not against the war in a respect that I don't want to help the Iraqis, I only meant that I did not AGREE with the reasons we went in there. This war started because of 911 and somehow diverted to Iraq from Afghanistan. Now that we are there we MUST finish the job, but I do not see an end in the near future, at least with my job there is not.

Well, I think the VP said it best tonight during the debates that Iraq was part of the whole war on terror in that Iraq was a logical place to go in and clean out, and best of all establish a democratic environment. Iraq was part of the war on terror and then in a sense, a part of 9/11 as 9/11 was part of the war on terror, sort of like all part of the same puzzle. Just as Iran, Afghanistan and the other places are a part of the war on terror. I think it is wonderful that Saturday Afghanistan is having the 1st democratic election in its history. Lets all agree to applaud both our brave military personnel and the brave Afghanistani people in having the courage to stand up to the thugs like the Taliban and others and have democratic elections!

It's late and I'm tired...so I'll just say this. George W. Bush is the man! he would get my vote no matter how many candidates were in the running. Bush for 4 more in '04!!!

I don't like Kerry, But I think he got it right when He told Bush that 35 out of 40 posed a larger threat to the world than Iraq.
