Looks like there is a big one heading towards Florida again. This time the Space Center let us all go home early today and we have the rest of the week off in order to prep our homes and evacuate the coastal areas. I'm thinking about heading South west towards Ft. Myers? What are the rest of you Central Floridians doing?

Hey Supa, you thought about moving yet? My buddy is coming up to Ga. this weekend and is praying that his house doesnt' get flattened, he missed a payment on his home insurance and got cancelled two months ago. He was fortunate enought to just get some limbs down in his yard from Charley but this time around, who knows! You coastal folks are taking a beating this year. Stay safe and I hope all goes well! -

for the time being im staying here....my work and school is cancelled until further notice and its not even supposed to hit till saturday night! I might end up going down to ft lauderdale to visit a friend..this is gonna be really scary...Comment

No not moving yet. No matter where you move some form of natural disaster will occur. Kite, couldn't your friend pay a late fine or something and still keep his insurance? I pray that his house stays in one piece.
Beachgirl, The latest storm updates said it would end up hitting the Miami area first and then make it's way up the coast. Try to stay away from the South Eastern coast of florida. Go towards the south western side of Florida.NO PAIN, NO GAIN

We're having a hurricane party at my house, got peeps coming from Daytona and Jacksonville in the morning...Woo Hoooo!!! Still have vacancy if anyone needs a place to party...mmm, I mean sleep

wow we had tornado this yr 140 mile an hr winds but only went through in 10 or 20 seconds killed 8 did so much property damage a shame.
I can imagine getting pummeled with them winds for hrs!
