I'm not knocking mods or people who want to be mods, just curious.

Here is a post I made a while back concerning being a mod and what it takes.

Let me tell you what it takes to become a mod,you have to show the admins,the other mods and the members that you have the mature level and the responsibility to handle a postion like this,being a mod isn't about fun and games,it's about RESPONSIBILITY,it's about the willingness to help others out on your own time,its about keeping the board in check,keeping the trouble makers out,keeping the members safe and secure from unwanted crap and the willingness to be a team player,you have to show the other mods that you can work together with them,there is no I in team,and if you make a mistake you have to show everyone that you made a mistake and are willing to correct it and apologize if someone got hurt because of it and except the consequences if it was sever and most of all you have to show them that you are not some 5 year old wanting to play games,you have to show everyone that you are an adult that can handle such an esteem honor because being picked as a mod is an honor and a privilege.

if you are insinuating that there is something that we get for doing what we do -- the answer is NO. We do not get free stuff, or anything of that nature if that is what you are inferring.

It means to be a mod? To give back what you got -- knowledge, patience, time. Someone gave me advice, took the time to answer all my questions, never made me feel like I exhausted his patience etc. So it is my turn to give back. The first person to help me was Gearedup, the second was Lewd Tenant along with Khan.

So -- it is MY pleasure to give back to the community that gave to me -- and makes me happy to know that people can come to the boards and get a good education rather than hearing some smart ass at the gym spew a bunch of myth and someone take it as gospel.

Those are are chosen to be mods NOT only were those who spend alot of time on the boards and have a ton of knowledge but they are chosen because CONSISTENTLY they answer the same questions day in and day out and UN selfishyly give back.

Satisfaction is what I get as being a mod. Nothing tangible.

Congrats Loco...you worked hard and give a lot of yourself and it has been noticed for quite sometime.

Make Gearedup proud.
