Our pediatrian specializes in autism. She was always asking unusual questions like she was concerned about something. We finally asked her at his 6 month appointment what she was so concerned about. She told us he was showing autistic behavior and delays but he couldn't be diagnosed until he was 18-24months old, because like you said he was just to young to tell for sure. Of course I didn't believe her because his behavior although strange was not something to be concerned about and he seemed extremely aware for his age.

Sorry klash I don't do the PM thing. But I want you to know that everything will be all right. The love between you and your baby will be enough to get the both of you through and in the end you will know that your family has been blessed beyond your wildest dreams. You can't see it now and it seems like hardship has befallin on your family but that isn't true. My family and i mean my whole family loves my son and is amased by how much love he has for everyone. He comes up with amasing words of wonder and is fun to hang out with. And if autism is all that's wrong with your child then you are a lucky man indeed. You will be helped in many way by schools and teachers who deal with kids like your child. And know this kids with autism aren't dumb in fact they are very smart. So smart that their brains overload when trying to hold a convertation. So your only lost will be deep meaning talks with your child. And thank you LOCO. And anyone with a child would love them no matter what is wrong with them.

sorry to hear that bro. my lil brother is autistic. actually he got way better as he got older bro. although he still is somewhat autistic, he progress into much more then what they originally though. we keep my bro stimulated in activities and the main thing me and my bros did is not treat him like was handycap or anything like that but givin him the support and independence he need to mature and grow within himself. once he got to middle school, he was placed in a regular classroom half the day and his special edu the other half a day and that helped him greatly. once he got to high school he was in normal schooling although at a much slower pace. my prayers are with u and hope that everything goes well. always keep hope bro.
