I would like your thoughts and prayers.

As some of you know I'm somewhat of a new father and my son has been showing signs of autism. He's been showing signs since 3 months of age, it's just the older he gets the more obvious it gets and supposedly they hit a regression period (something to look forward too) around two years of age. My wife and I are struggling psychologically, because we've never seen such diverse oultlooks on something. The majority of the medical community believes mercury is not the cause and the majority of the autistic community believes mercury plays a major role in the cause. I feel like I'm stabbing in the dark regarding major decisions in my sons life.

'Pray' I find the rescources I need to make the best decisions.

I have a nephew who has autism. It did get worse as he got older so I hope you find the resources you need.

Ill say a prayer for your son and family. Did he get tested for mercury? Did your wife get tested?


I am actually getting a mercury test here soon. I have eaten close to 2 thousand cans of tuna in the last couple years and I seem to be developing some focus and metal acuity problems. Grades in school are going down, and studying iis harder. I have about 75% of the mercury poisoning symptons, so we'll see.

This is the biggest concern of mine when it comes to having children. What happens if the child requires more attention and resources than normal? Am I up to this task?

Governor I would be interested in hearing about your toxicity test and treatment if needed. My son also shows symptoms of mercury toxicity. Good luck, I hope you find your answers.

As a father of a child with autism I know how it is. My child knew over 60 words and was drinking from a glass before age one when progressive resgressive autism hit. My child is 12 now and is the best thing to ever happen to me. He looks handsome with his blond hair and blue eyes. He reads, spells and writes and does math better then me. And his artwork is awesome. He holds the wonder of a child an will always be that way. I can't really hold a conversation with him. But he still tells me what he wants with words and hand movements. He is the picture of perfect heath in every other way.
Ok now my advice to you is apply for SSI now. The money will help meets your child needs. Get a lawyer and sue if you can.
I don't know how anyone can find your child has autism at age of 3 months because it's to early to tell. They sleep, don't talk or walk, crawl or do much else till 4 months old. I hope this helps you in some way. And your family will be in our prayers.
