refering

how do you refer someone? i had my girlfriend sign up but no where does it say i was refered by so and so. i was searching around and saw a top refered list

i think when they sign up they put who told them to sign or something. When i signed up for some other baords it says who refered me, and i put the name of the person.

i'll tell my sister to register tomorrow and see if a referal comes out on mine.
