those hanging concentration curls?
yup, i recently starteddoing those and they feel great on the peak part of the bicep. When i do them , i go all the way down and then up. When i know i cant do more, i do partial reps for the awesome burn. I usually do around 6 reps with a good weight, followed by another 6 partial reps.

part of concentration curls is feeling the ball of your muscle taking shape with each curl. if you dont get that feeling down with each rep, your not doing it right.
also use the ez curl bar for preachers if your doing them, not straight bar.5'10

yeah i realize the contraction is key for shaping and peaking, after my bi routine i do and iso move with cables to get max contraction for 3 sets. my arms wont take anymore and feel like exploding...to me theey should be a friggin softball when i flex....i guess the old saying of patience is a virtue plays in here
or i need another cycle

for biceps, i work the same day as back. This is what i do man, i alternate exercises.
4weeks:
ez curl bar: 1 warm up set. 3 sets of 6-10 reps
dumbell curls: 3 sets or (incline curls)
reverse curls: 3 sets
-----------------------------------------
the next 4 weeks
dumbell curls: 1 warm up. 3 sets of 6-10 reps
reverse or hammer curls: 3 sets
arnold curls: 3 sets
--------------------------------------
i change workout every 4 weeks to keep them from stalling growth.

i have problem with bicep growth period. they keep getting harder, but forget about height. my forearms have blown up, but my biceps look under developed if you look at them. funny part is i can sit there and pound on my biceps doing all kinds of curls for a hour, until exhaustion, and still no results.
im 5'10, 190 lbs. i remember one day i went in on fina, decided im going to bust my arms up. warmed up, ended up doing straight bar curls at 90 lbs for 3 sets of 10. moved on to doing 45 lb hammer curls, followed by 35 lb concentration curls, 3 sets of 10. moved on to the cables. did a short bar about 8 inch long, did curls with that, i think it was around 120 lbs, doing concentration style. then moved onto doing single hand, weight i dont remember. took a breather, decided i'd hammer some more.
went back to the straight bar, i think i was only at 70lbs then, a little tired. then i realized, my problem isnt my bicep strength, its my forearms/opposite of my elbow. because if you put me on a preacher bench, i suck. thats when i discovered how important the preachers were for me, and i finally started to get my roundness, but i still have a problem with height.
i feel your pain!5'10
