no dout but it would be better with the 4.6 rather than the 5.0L and it would make more power .with just bolting it in.

I'm pretty sure alot of $$ would be needed to shoehorn the thing in there. Plus you'd probably run into troubles with the transmisson. He could throw that money into the 5.0L and make it outperform any of the 4.6's. Except for the supercharged 32V cobra version however.RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.
Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.

Just find an SN95 V8 donor car at a junkyard, and buy the whole donor car. That way you will have the engine, trans, diff, harnesses, mounts, and all the other various stuff. A rollover vehicle would be a perfect donor car. There are so many wrecked V8 Mustangs out there that you should have no problem finding a decent one to work with.
I have done exactly this with a few Fox body Mustangs when I was younger. My motivator for going through all the work was that I could buy a 4cyl or 6cyl Mustang, do the swap to a V8, and pay the insurance rate for a 4cyl or 6cyl car. I remember the insurance rate difference between the V8 and the other engines was astronomical. The cost savings for single year’s worth of insurance on a V8 just about covered the whole cost of the project.
Also, you can probably work out a deal with the junkyard to give you something back for the V6 parts that you are getting rid of.
