on new windows for the front of my house. my wife said the old ones were not efficient and were ugly. (the latter was her motivation in my opinion) $3000 for 5 windows. oh no we couldnt get regular windows they had to be double paned tempered argon gas filled bad boys and the most expensive. damn that $ would be a fat down payment on a new bike.

one thing i learned is buy the windows from a place where an employee installs them not a contractor. i went with home depot they were $5-600 more them the 3 contractors we had come out and do bids but i know they will be there if i call them in 10 years with a warranty prob. also they are warranted for life. and they were $2000 cheaper than sears with the exact same windows and were slightly cheaper thatn lowes but i like the home depot nascar team better anyway. also the sales guy was cool.
