i cant wait to see i have the original on dvd from 1973 its a wonderful movie i hope the remake lives up to it , anyone else gonna go see it

I almost dont want to see it, I'm the biggest romero/savini fan out there, and they had NO part in making this which is just depressing to me. I know i'll give in and go see it though, dawn of the dead is my alltime favorite movie.Comment

Jack, the original was made in 1978 not 1973.
Dawn of the Dead was the second of three movies. The first one was Night of the Living Dead (1968) the second one was Dawn of the Dead (1978) then came Day of the Dead (1985).
The Night of the Living Dead was remade in 1990 and now they’re remaking Dawn of the Dead, so I guess they will remake Day of the Dead around 2028.
BTW – The “Evil Dead” series (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness) were great/funny horror movies. If you liked Dawn of the Dead you will probably like the Evil Dead movies.Comment
