    This sucks.

    What's this world comming to?
    $200,000 only buys me a cheap house in the cheaper parts of town.

    I'm going to be up to my big ears in debt for as long as I've been alive just to live in a crappy house.

    Maybe I should move into the woods and make a house out of branches and discarded cardboard?

    Sigh...

      wow!! in ontario 200k will buy a really nice house. With beach rights too.

                Lol... yeah the woods don't sound like a good idea. These Canadian winters get pretty damn cold too..

                I told my realtor.. the most I have is 200K and I'd like a place that has a suite I can rent out, or a place where a suite could be easily added. He basically laughed at me and told me he'd see what he could do.

                5 years ago 200K would have bought me a very nice place. But with the Canadian intrest rate so low (prime is 2.25%), houseing costs have gone through the roof. And it doesn't look like anything is going to change in the near future.

                  If you wanna live on the beach aroung here 200k will get you a shed. My parents house was appraised at 120k when they bought it 5 years ago and now its valued at 170k!!!!!!!

                    danm, 200K won't buy shit where i've been living. all the places i wanted to live were well over $500K. much more than i was planing on spending. . .
