  • Employer Punching Out Employees Timecard

does anyone know if this is legal or anything?

my bro was pretty pissed that he got to the timeclock at 3:00 and found out that his manager punched out his card at 2:45.

all i could think of was if he was told to punch out at 2:45 and he said no.

does anyone know if mangers can do this? i have no clue.
Do you know where one builds action, stamina and guts? In the gym under the iron day after day, forever without fail or excuses or grumbling, that’s where. It’s true. I read a study somewhere and that’s what it said, really.

There’d be fewer battles, less drugs and less crime and more happy moms and dads if we all lifted weights… let’s face it. In what recent medical journal was I reading that?

I'm not sure what the circumstances were that would've lead to the situation but I don't think it is warrented. Is the place of work unionized.

Osha is a safty thing, the only time that might come into play is if his boss punched him out.

tell him to take it over his managers head if its a problem , his manager most likely gets some sort of performance bonus based on man-hours. if he is trimming hours to reach a quota , he should at least tell the people they off the clock.

Is he/she sure the manager did it? Someone may have grabbed the wrong card.

very true...if an employee is working off the clock and get hurt there is going to be problems....Tell him to fake a big injury and then they'll look into it and say "you punched out?" and he'll say "no i never did" and then the manager is fuct

                          thanks for your responses.

he just called me and said when he got to work, his timecard had 2:45 scratched out and 3:00 written in, and right above it was the initials of the assistant plant manager.

and he said his manager had that "just got his ass chewed out" kinda look.
