my wife called me and told me she would be late coming home today. she told me her coworker's daughter tried to hang herself at school today with her belt. she just turned 13 this weekend. there family are pretty good friends of ours.

good news is , she was taken down before damage was done so physically she is OK just sore.

she is now at a local childrens hospital in the under a psyc docs care.

they think she may be bi-polar. pray for her and her family during their rough time to come. physical wounds heal but psycological ones can be much harder to deal with and may last alot longer if not for life.

she said she did it because a boy didnt like her. i cant beleive it.

my wife just talked to her mom, the girl is so scared and says she just wants to go home she wont do it again. they had to sedate her after they told her she could not leave because she was cutting her arms with her fingernails. i cant imagine how bad her family is hurting. it is so intangible. a doc can stitch a wound but the mind is so complex.

Good news is to uncover this stuff now, there are lot's of ways too help. If it is bi-polar that is such a tough road, she will need lot's of compassion and understanding.

And yes, jipped, the mind is infintely complex. Good news, we have discovered more about it in last 20 years than the history of man, and it is an on going journey.

I have a friend of a friend who shot herself in the stomach this week outside of the sporting good store she worked at. She died and they think she did it because she got pregnant. The thing is, she is 23 and showed no signs of derpression ever.

Wow Jipped, I am sorry to hear this. I know a few people who have gotten to the point where they dont want to live any longer. It is a rough road and I hope she gets the help she needs. Her and her family will be in my prayers.

New: I pray your friend is in a better place - too bad she couldn't have dealt with her problems in a non tragic manner - her family is in my prayers as well.
