how secure is secure email??

i think Vando posted something sayin that if the feds wanted to read or hack your secure email ,......it wold be no problem...

.....dose anyone know if this is true??....i was just thinkihng about this ......due to the newest round of homeland management laws ..........it seems to me that the US Govt is finding more and more ways to get in your shit...

.....if they can get a warrent to put in a wire tap on your phone or tap your celll.......can they just a easly "tap" your emails ......secure and non secure.....

It's not really secure but it's secure then other emails like hotmail so if you are going to use one then it might as well be the secure addys.

Depends on the algorythim used to encrypt and unencrypt.....But ultimately....To be completely safe is to not be on the net.

Lol... the guys who are trained to do it as a full time job actually find it quite easy.

They can narrow things down quite nicely... they'll only look at packets going to and from your IP address for instance.

They'd be able to pick up your passphrase quite easily as that only uses Internet Explorer encryption. And once they have the passphrase, your emails are easily decrypted.


But yes, package sniffing is usually alot more entertaining
