  • genitic potential??

I've herad this word thrown around alot in some threds, I'm just wondering if there is some formula for determining this. I understand everybody is diffrent but lets just get a ballpark figure. I'm a ectomorph 6'5 210lbs. what kind of weight could one reasonably pateau at through proper diet and training?

I think the genetic potential is a Zenock's parable.

It states. If you stand in a room and face a wall. Then you walk half of the distance to the wall. Then you walk half of the remaing distance. Then you walk half of that remaining distance....etc. Will you ever actually reach the wall if you only walking half the distance? Theoretically no, its unreachable.

We can however estimate it. But how?

Back to your question, its hard to say. Depends on how good your diet and training is. You may say perfect, but someone else may be able to make it better. Same with training. Also, what kinda time frame are we talking. 1 year or 20 years?

I dont think I can ever really guess your answer. Im 5'7" and have gone up to 250 at the most, and I swear I could have done it without AS eventually, may have taken 10 years though.

            But...6'5" ecto...I dunno 260?

I like my genetics. If I want to add weight quickly I could easily do it. When Im on the gear even faster. I already know how my body works and what doesnt.

Don't buy into the genetic potential bullshit! Sure their has to be a limit somewhere but I'm sure its very high for most. Shit I started at 150lbs and got up to 260lbs. I'd say the main limiting factor is diet and training. And of course the types of chemicals you are willing to put in your body to get their.

Dude . . . I am 5'10". In march 02 I was 152 and sick (lyme's disease) and felt like shit. I am better now! I just hit 187 with excellent diet, proper rest, supplements, and lifting like I was 250! NO GEAR! No Bullshit dude! It has been the hardest thing I have ever done but the most rewarding. However, I know to get much further I will need to "supplement" a little different. I don't think 200 is an unreasonable goal natural but I think it will take as long to do the last 13 lbs as it did the first 35.
In short . . .I agree with Billy . . .proper diet is everything man! You eat like a f*&king moose to get big . .. . I would also suggest getting stronger before you really go for more mass. Reason . . . Strength exercises will add mass but they also will enable you to move heavier iron in your mass cycles which can't help to build more muscle. You probably knew that but WTF . . . do some power lifting for 8 - 10 weeks and then go back to strict body building excercises. I am a hard gainer but I get results this way.
                  Good lifting bro . . . let us know how it goes . . . . later

I am to an ecto, I'm 6'3'' went from 190-220 naturally..30# within 6months. Get your diet in check, Eat,Eat,Eat, You should have no problem getting to 230-240 naturally...How long have you been training?

Where I'm at now 205 and i'm 23. Done one cycle and slin. I think it would have taken me another 2 years to get where i'm at now. Being a hardgainer, with small bones its hard.

Since we dont know your genetics, its hard to tell man. I started my first cycle 6'2" 214, was I at my genetic peak? Hell no. 98% of us are "hardgainers", thats just how it is.

it seems everyone on here is a hardgainer. ie. in our heads none of us grow as fast as we would like.
