thanks everyone... it means a lot to me.....
i was so happy the last few days trying to excercise my arm - well my forearm, and was so optimistic that it's probably nothing, and that i'll be able to recover in like 2 weeks and not 10 like i was told... my arm was killing me, and i really couldn't move my shoulder, but i was still positive that it's nothing major... and then yestreday after i was told what the real deal was, i was so kind of crushed emotionally... not being able to do stuff ever again, stuff that u did all ur life, kinda gets to u... and... i don't know..

the doc told me yesterday that the reason i can't move my arm now is cuz all the ligaments (well the ones that are left over and weren't torn completely) that attach to the ball/socket and are responsible for movement, are now attached to chunks/chips of the bone that's just floating around loose... the muscles do contract and all that, it's just no movement is produced from it...

i went yestrday to GNC get some calcium and stuff, and the guy told me to also get lots of glucosamine, MSN, chondroitin and l-glutamine... which i did... i was just wondering if there is anything else u guys know of that would help now...
he told me to get some hgh-supplements, but after i told him i could get the real thing, he told me to go with that instead... do u think that would be a good idea? i'm going to try claim all my injury related costs from the insurance/workers comp, and if that works out fine, i'm gonna get hgh for sure..

cant they screw the socket chips back together? or fuse them? it may sound impossible but think about this: Grant Hill (Pro basketball player) shatteterd the outer portion of his ankle, like you there were fragments floating around everywhere, he has sucessfull recovered from 2 major surguries( maybe more no) and he has i think 16 screws in a chunk thats less than a 1/4 inch.

I'm going to find his x-ray pics and get them to you, my #'s are purely off memory so i'll shut up till i get concrete info.

      get back to you asap

my intent of that post was to let him know there is possibly something that can be done, not to compare him or his injury to a basketball player.

plus, Hills injury was to a weight bearing bone, wich may be a little more important.

yep, thats the problem...thats why i want to get him this info so at least he can introduce into the scenario. Workmans comp can be a *****, i deal with claims from them pretty often, if he has credible info, they will look into it, if he just accepts what they give him.....hes gonna get exactly that....shit.

Sorry Loco. Look out for number one bro! If this is a life alterating event, you 'need' to be compensated, even if you burn some bridges.

I wish you all the best!
