Has anyone heard of any problems with low carb dieting and having kidney stones? I have been told and have read that if your body produces kidney stones that you SHOULD NOT go on a low carb diet. Anyone else heard this?

I have heard it from some book-learned trainers and nutrionalists. However, I've never met any bodybuilders who have ever had this problem. -

From what I have "heard", I think the problem is not in the low carb aspect, but the large # of protien grams that are taken in on a low carb diet......it can be dificult for the body to metabolise high amounts of protien. But I am no expert on the topic....just an educated guess. I will nose around and see if I can find anything usefull on the subject.

my old romie was a nutrionalists she had told me that was one of the major reason y the adkins diet was not good for you .......
and i have had kidny stones.......no they dont hurt your dick........its when the stone is comming thru the small tub from your kidney to your bladder .......now thats hurts like a *****!!!!
what happends is that tube called a uriter gets stoped up by the stone and your kidny swells ...thus causing a large amoutn of pain...Stuck in the Desert.Comment
