Isolationism has never worked. Resources are limited. I worked with the Coalition for the Homeless every week. It is should not take a militarized army to feed the homeless. It takes a civilian army willing to take the time.

1st thing you need to learn. DON'T TRUST AMERICAN MEDIA! Seriously. The whole rest of the world's media is saying 1 thing, but since the American media says something different the whole rest of the world MUST be wrong. You need to peak you head out from under the blankets bro... This isn't conspiricy theories or anything else other than just common sence and observation. We are just lucky in Canada as we are greatly influenced by American, Canadian, AND British media... we get to see more of the whole picture if you will.

You seem to have missed my point. I was saying the Iraqi people would prefer Sadam over Bush. That poll says "It was worth it to get rid of Sadam". Not "We'd rather have American leaders". That poll is an excellent example of how american media can manipulate statistics to make you believe what they want. If you were to have a poll that used this exact wording "Would you rather have Bush or Sadam as a leader" You'd find that the general public would rather have Sadam. And I would seriously doubt the results returned by any american funded company. Most of these polls are taken in the small areas that like the americans. Show me a UN funded opinion poll...that I will trust.

The other day I was watching one of those fabricated American news agencies. They show an Iraqi who received a prescription to go see the doc. It was sent to him by order of Sadam. It instructed him to report to the hospital on a certain day at a specific time. The prescription detailed the procedure that was to be done. The man went, and when he left he was missing a limb.

It seems as though Sadam decided that his profession was no longer legal and all that had worked in that field were ordered to have a limb removed. This guy for 2 weeks knew that he was going to have a healthy, functioning limb cut off on a certain date….and he went. Why? Because if he didn’t his whole family would have been subjected to Sadam’s wrath.

That is one case that illustrates the fear a whole nation lived under. I think that a choice between Bush and Sadam would be easy for most.

There is progress going on in north and south Iraq. Where most problems are occurring is in the small regions that were actually treated well by Sadam.
