my throat is sore as hell it has little blisters that hurt when i swallow and i have a low fever. my wife wants me to go to the doc but they scare me. what if he want to give me a shot!!!!!!!!

My throat is my weekness. I get strep throat often.
Go to the doc, it's not worth waiting it out. He'll give you some anti-biotics and you'll be fealing betting in a couple of days.
Now you want to talk sore throat? Try mono! Oh man was that hell for me! My throat hurt so bad just drinking water was a chore. It hurt so bad it made my ears ache. The doc ended up putting me on a liquid diet (Yuck! slimfast shakes), and gave me some codine exiler to help with the pain.
I had some fun with the codine! But the rest was pure hell..RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.
Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.Comment

OH yeah the Q-tip! Last time I just about puked on the doc. He was ready for it though and quick to move out of the way even tho I managed to just dry-heave.
