    Half way down or ass to the floor?


    I myself leave lil Hershey kisses on the floor for the next victum to use the squat rack!

          I voted ass to the floor but I can't go beyond parallel because I have a bad back...can't go heavy either.

            you guys make it seem like going parallel, or halfway, is half-assint it, but its not. It seems that bringing ass to the floor would blow out your knees and would do more harm than good. A lot of people don't understand how to bring their legs to a perfect parallel position and don't get the full workout.

                  I'm somewhere in between. I do a deep squat, but if I get to far down the knees start to hurt. On heavy days I use knee wraps, so then I can't get much lower than parallel.

                      Ok for all the peeps that say it's harder on your knees, fathom this.
                      The force placed on stopping at parallel and just below parallel is more than that of going all the way down. The shearing of all the tendons and ligments is at it's worse around 60degrees.

                      (besides, how many other exercises do you only go half-way?)

                        That is true, the shearing force on your knees is not anymore when you go past or slightly past parralell, But as soon as your calf and hamsrting begin to touch roughly somwhere in between parrallel and ass to the floor their is a torque moment there that causes people with bad knees to feel it.

                            Estanozolol, if that is the case, those clowns we see with a ton of weight going 1-3inches down are more or less as effective as going all the way down!?

                              LETS JUST DO LEG EXTENSIONS FOLLOWED BY SOME HAMSTRINGS FOLLOWED BY WHAT EVER WORKS FOR WHO EVER. I CLEARED THAT UP.
