I searched the general thread and didn’t see anything. So If I am being redundant just fill this thread with…no no no I am not going to open myself up to that…

Anyways baseball is going to start testing for steroids. I wanted to get a feel for the general thoughts out there on this issue.

My feelings are that until steroids are legal for everyone there should be testing. Now if AS were legal I would completely change my mind. But there are many athletes who deserve the right to play who do not want to break the law. And I believe this is completely legitimate.

What say ye my fellow FG friends?

THEY TESTED ABOUT 1400 PLAYERS AND 5% CAME BACK POSITIVE AND IN THE UNION CONTRACT IT SAYS IF 5% COME BACK POS THEN THEY CAN TEST PLAYERS.SHOULD BE IN ALL SPORTS SECTION IN YOUR NEWS PAPER TODAY

I agree with you, Slightly Enhanced. As long as AS are illegal, the players should be tested to make sure that no one is breaking the rules ang gaining an unfair advantage.

I would say all sports except BB or any sport in a country where it is legal.

why use juice to play baseball

you run 10m, sratch your balls, spit, wait 20min. run again, you out, go 1h on a bench, scratch pit and pit.

So if you use juice:

you will have less ball, so less scratching power, spit will be harder,

the suprising thing is the same player has to fail 5 tests to be suspended!

Yeah it is still pretty lenient...that is the power of a good union...plus I am sure they know that all the power hitting is raising ratings

All this really means is those that do will have to choose which AS they use more carefully

I have a friend whose source was a trainer for a pro football team…so testing isn’t really keeping them from doing it

I DISSAGREE CAUSE MOST SPORTS HAVE BEEN TAINTED WITH DRUG USE SINCE THE 60'S REGARDLESS IF THE PUBLIC CAN ADMIT IT OR NOT ROIDS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR LONG TIME AND THAT MEANS RECORDS HAVE BEEN BROKE AND HIGHER STANDARDS SO WHY GET RID OF THEM AND HAVE PEOPLE REGRESS BACK IN PHYSICAL ABILITY ISNSTEAD OF SURGE AHEAD

Good point about testing because it's illegal, but how bout this...

Baseball is the same as bodybuilding events,

They have natural players-amateurs
They have the best players enhanced or not-pro!
