So it was chest night at the gym tonight, i figured id give my shoulders a little break and use the hammerstrength machines because ive always loved them. So i start out on the verticle incline. 1 plate on each end for a quick warm up, then 2 plates, then 4 plates, then 5 plates. I got 15 fucking reps with the 5 plates on each end which is the machines max, has anyone seen any that actually hold more weight? I honestly love HS machines for a change of pace but they wont hold more than 5 plates. Then i move over to the decline... boy what a waste, i think most college students can handle it. Oh well, maybe i'll just have my partner stand on them or something. Im angry.

Man i wish my gym had 100lb plates, i'd be set BUT, the gym i work out at is a family place where im the biggest/strongest guy in there. Its so bad that people watch me when i work out and i catch them stairing all the time. Mainly skinny teenagers, like two serious bbers who are hardly ever there when i am and a bunch of middle aged people. Im surprised we even have a squat rack! Get this, i got told not to use chalk because it "makes a mess for others". Gimme a break!

not a big HS fan. the shoulder press you speak of puts my wrist in an ackward position when pressing heavy. and no, i havent seen a hammer strength where you could load up more than 5.... so you pressing 450 on shoulders? quite a site, even with the HS.
