My stupid crapy mouse keeps on freezing on me alot, it freezes on me but the computer still works. It works by using the keyboard only. Any one know what the problem might be.

Problem with the PS2 port. Either the hardware, the mouse, the cable, or just the connector. Unplug the mouse and plug it back in, if that doesn't help, spend $15 on a new mouse. IF it's still a problem, then it's your motherboard, and that pretty much means buying a new computer.RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.
Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy. -

Is it a Microsoft Optical mouse?
I had major probs with one of those last year. Even replaced it with the same thinking it was a bad one, but that new one did the same thing.
I've switched to another brand and have no problems.
It didn't matter if I used my PS2 port or my USB either.It's better to burn out, than to fade away...Comment
