So I'm leaving the doctor's office the other day. I was backing up slowly, because I was parked next to an extended cab F-150 and I drive a convertible (big-ass blind spot) Mustang. As I has inching out of my parking place, a regal caught my bumper as it was coming by. It left a black streak down both doors (4-door) and probably a small crease, I just couldn't tell because od the black paint.
Well, the old 4-foot man jumps out and yells, "Give me your liscence!" I kinda gigled and handed it to him, as I apologized.
I really felt bad, because it was my fault, but had the old farts had any reflex at all they could've stopped or drove around me.
At any rate, legally I feel like it's my fault, so I told the couple I wasn't going to report it on my insurance, and I wanted them to get their car fixed at which ever body shop they wished, and I'd pay out of my pocket. They agreed, and realized I was trying to be fair. Well, my dad told me to tell them to jump up my ass, because it was private property, and in AL. you are responsible for your own vehicle in the event of an accident.
I had given my word that I'd pay, so I am still going to pay for it at this point.
Now their insurance company keeps calling me about the situation after we agreed to not report it.
I gave these people ALL my information, even my work telephone number, so they'd know I wasn't trying to screw them.
Now that they are swaying from the original agreement, I'm SERIOUSLY considering telling them to get phucked.
WHAT DO YA'LL THINK???
