I am supposed to be on the train now. But I hate my job and everyone knows it(customers/coworkers/management). Being a waiter sucks. I work midnights and lost interest in doing that crap for over 4 years.Money is great but I have no life and I am tired all the time. My memory is suffering and I am actually to tired to try to get some action from my GF.

Sorry to hear that Lewd...hope things get better. With 4 years exp. in the restaurant business you shouldn't find it too hard to actually find a decent restaurant you like to work for.
all is well. I will have to dip into my savings though. I am out of the restaurant biz for good. and pulling a no show in this business is not a smart thing in NYC since it is the only NYC restaurant ref I have.
i have another job,but it will take time to make money as it is commision based. Got a job as a personal trainer. I'm going to make a post on some tips on how to do that(get a PT job) since I was clueless on what to do and did not know until talking to some bros online. I can make $300 waiting on tables tonight. but man I hate my job so much.
I know the feeling...I waited tables for abour four years before I burned out on it and took a job as a trainer at the YMCA...made about 1/3 as much money, but enjoyed my job (and my girlfriend) a lot more...have since moved on to bigger things, but I miss those days...low stress, lots of time in the gym, casual clothes, etc...

It is only one day out of the year and I do not make a big deal about it. but my GF does. we got into a argument over it tonight and that put me in a shitty mood.If I go to work, someone is going to get fired and someone is going catch an ass whoopin'. and I don't like jail.
It's understandable bro...one shouldn't never do something that doesn't make them happy especially that takes away their life! But I do not know too many people that actually love their job? Hope all works out in the end....Good Luck
luckily in NYC you can make good loot as PT prob more than I am now if I am good at it without all the stress which is my biggest problem now.
I am a very laid back guy but my waiter job is changing me as a person and i do not like it. i pride myself in my work and my work has been shitty lately and i have poor attitude with management and customers.
i think to how a waiter treated me and my GF on our first night out on vacation in Miami. She was awesome and it set the tone for a great vacation. A waiter is not going to fix your relationship probs but he can ruin what you planned to be a perfect night and i want to give that to all my customers if that is what they are looking for and can no longer do that.
