one of the mods suggested that some members might find it offensive so i am just checking to see if that is indeed the case. i'm on 5-6 other boards and have never got a complaint, most find it funny. i was very surprised to hear that some may take offense. thanks for the responses.

I think Auriflex made it clear the first time. While you may think the avatar is funny as may some others, I am expecting to see that avatar removed. And I personally don't care if any other board allows that avatar or not.....those boards are not under my watch; this one is. We have a very large member base that has a good deal of women, and whether one or two females did not find it an issue, I assure you a majority do.
Aside from the fact that the commentary without the distinction of an overweight person, I find it distasteful on the whole but then to quantify the sentiment targeting a female who possibly has a few pounds to lose seals the deal in my mind.
