Alright hope someone can help me out with this. I, like everyone on my mothers side of the family have dark colored elbows, no amount of washing gets them to be the same color as the rest of my skin. I am very self conscious of this and was wondering if there is someway to make them lighter. Thanks ---- crombie09

Talk to a dermataligist(sp?) probably your best bet before you run for a bottle of bleach. Your doctor can probably recommend someone or even offer some insight. -

I know some people who have darkened spots on their skin use a combination of Retin-A and this bleaching cream from their Derm.Comment

Well, almost everyone I know if you look at their knees/elbows you'll see that the skin is darker there. Probably because it's thicker.
So I'm guessing that yours is probably a bit darker than a normal person's.
I'm also guessing you have a medium skin color (not black, not exactly white if you know what I mean). People with this skin tone seem to suffer from this the most.

Don't have insurance yet from my new job, can't afford to go to a derm. Thought there would be some home remedy or something. I just need to lighten the skin in that area, there nothing wrong with it. -crombie09Comment
