  • The happiest event of your life?

I was originally going to ask about the saddest, but after some deep reflection, and a sudden influx of depression - I think this is much more positive.

So, what would be the happiest event of your life so far? Many will say when they were married, or when a child was born....but I'm going to have to say when I was kayaking in Prince William Sound in Alaska, rising before the sun, sitting on a cliff ledge overlooking the ocean, and watching nature come to life around me. Never have I felt so content, satisfied, and happy about everything as I was that brief moment.

Then the next day I stabbed another person in my group, but thats another story. :p

Sitting out in my back yard about three years ago, late, hot August evening. Grilling a steak, drinking a beer, smoking a cigarette (hadn't quit yet) kids running around and thought to myself that there wan't much more in my life I could ask for and had a lot of remorse for those people who didn't have as much as I did at that moment.

I call it my "Amazing Grace Story"...how God could save a wreck like me.

In feb. of 98 lost use of my upper left side muscles, over next 2.5 years saw 12 doctors, and none of them correctly diagnosed me, it was decided by doctors permanently disabled.

I would not accept the prognosis, believed if they could sen a man to moon someone has to know what is going on with my muscles.

Anyways, in March of 2001 finally correctly diagnosed and discovered there was surgery to cure this. My nerves had been under compression and not working for 3.5 years, medically at about 4 years if the nerves haven't worked never will.

So, six months before this I had resigned myself to the fact that I would be disabled for life and every thing I loved in life was no longer possible. I had to change my life drastically.

Six months later God saved a wretch like me. I can now run, lift, work on computer and have my life back.

So there it is living prove God does save wretches.

Thanks. Never thought it had to be complicated, as most of the best experiences in my life have been the most simple and enjoyable.

                              2. Gettin' laid for the first time 17 years ago. Yall remember those high school days. Shit, it was all I could think about. Not much has changed since then. Except now when I get laid I don't yell out YEEEEEHAAAA! I try and be mature about it ya know. Yeah right! LOL.
