You're not gonna pass me. Not with my rollerblades anyway.

Did I say rollerblades? I meant my walker with the wheels.

Jipped, serious, go get a good pair of sneakers. Cost me about $70.00 - $80.00 for a pair of New Balance, but it made all the difference in the world when I started to run. And what Pudgy said about the gel insoles will help a lot too.

BTW-make sure you don't use the sneakers after 3-5 months if you run on a regular basis. They do wear out and do not support your feet correctly.

you guys... I am a runner... JG, don't get discouraged... it took me a long time, I would say about 6 months where i could run on a treadmil at 6.0 for 30 minutes... once you get up to that it's clear sailing. Now I run at 7.2 for however long I can stay on. It's kind of cool building up endurance like that. Stay with it...

i am a big runner as well. the first time is always gonna make you sore (remember telling that girl next door that in high school?)

anyway, dont give up on it. jog for 1 minute, walk for 1. do this 20 times and you will probably log 3 miles.

you didnt see me shuffle. it was dark and some guy had his car door open i almost removed the left side of my body not paying attention. i do have a good pair of avia shoes. i will get some gel insoles. i figure i can loose more nasty spare tire fat doing cardio. after being ill i am sure my stamina will improve greatly in a week or so. why is the middle always the last fat to go. its all i have left.
