  • Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster

Hello!!!! THis past weekend it was actually WORKING!!!! It's the tallest, fastest, steepest roller coaster in the world. If it's running WAIT IN LINE. I must have seen about 5-6 cars not make it over the hill. It starts you at 120 miles an hour then shoots you up a 420 ft. incline with a 90 degree drop. You can't imagine what 120 mph in 4 seconds feels like. it's CRAZY!!! while i was in line it shut down about 4 times. took about 2 hours to wait for, but 120mph!!!!!

Sounds like it would be insane. Got to try this. I defintely want to get to Cedar Point, try the other coaster, the one that's like a 320 foot drop.
So be sure that you are makin the best of what that you have
the truth is all within yourself

that's the millennium force... you go 90 mph... it's great, it's been there for a couple of years now... line for that one is still always around an hour wait. It's a great park for rollercoasters. Nothing is like it.

Cedar Point have been having hydraulic problems with getting the cars to speed to 120 mph, when they don't they get to the top and yes roll backwards down. Those poeple get to then try again. they always made it the 2nd try. it's all you think about when you get to the top/.. go over, go over!!!

There is a ride here in Houston that is called greased lightning. It probably hits in the range of 60mph and goes straight up then rolls backwards. Going backwards on it was an odd feeling when I first rode it long years ago. I'm sure not making it on this ride at Cedar Points would be a rush in itself.

I'm guessing they have emergency brakes that catch it or something of that sort when it goes backwards?

if you are going to go to one for just roller coasters... Cedar Point is it. even when you watch the roller coaster shows on Discovery, every other ride they talk about is at cedar point.

Cedar Point is 1 hour west of Cleveland OH in Sandusky. Cedar Point is located on a peninusala on Lake Erie. A vacation to sandusky is wonderful because you cold go to Cedar Point and then there are little islands near it where there are bars galore... Kelly's Island and Put-In-Bay. They are always hopping. You can take ferry's out there for about $25 round trip. We keep our boat out in Sandusky and stay on it the entire weekend. It's so much fun. We also get passes to Cedar Point. It really makes the summer.

Not for me thanks. I like my thrills to consist of eating and watching babes walk around. Plus those rides make me sick.
