  • Is that your truck?

I work in a basement of an office building. The town where I work could be described as a harbor-type town, the bay is three blocks away from the building.

The office I'm in downstairs is almost nuclear strike proof, I don't know what's going on until I get upstairs, the world could be blown to bits.

The town itself is at the bottom of some very steep hills that run down through the town to the harbor.

(I'm sure by now EVERYBODY KNOWS WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS).

The guy in the upstairs office comes down and asks: "You got that black F150 out front?"

    Yeah, why?

    "Set the parking brake?"

    Yeah, why?

"I guess it's floating away then, you'd better get out there"

As they say, sure enough, we had a huge downpour and the water was over the front bumper, kind of pushing the truck backward. I went around to the drivers side like a total ass not thinking that the water was up to my thighs and could've pushed me down the street.

Did get the truck to higher ground eventually. Stupid sneakers will take a week to dry out now.

Probably right. I beat the p*ss out of this poor truck, 14 years old, got 186,000 miles, almost no front bench seat left (worn away), just all around abuse it.

Best part about it is doesn't really matter if anyone hits it in the parking lot (can't notice it anymore) and nobody wants to steal it.

LMAO Morgan! Glad you got it though!

It reminds me of a time my old timer friend decided to go fishing without me. His forgot to put his truck in Park, and got out of it to slip his bass boat out off the ramp. Well, the truck decides to roll backwards towards the poor guy, knocking him down and rolling over his leg until it vanished into the lake.

Of course, the boat floated away - unscathed.
