mine took about a year and some months to heal. Cause I dunked the Basketball Court while in a cookout, I landed all my 200 pounds at the time. Ouch, heard a huge pop and I think I twisted it all the way. Then I started walking on it and fell down, like they say when u sprain it to walk it , so I did. The good thing is I went to the store limping alot, I was in pain. I still did the cookout. Then I started drinking alot of beer and didnt feel the pain till the next day when I tried walking and I fell. I was in crutches ofr about a week. Till this day when I do some exersices it hurts.

mine took a month till i could walk (limp) again and few more months after that till i could walk normally... the pain finally went away after a year and a bit... i still felt it (every time i would poke around in the ankle area) almost 2 years after... finally when it all went away completely, i sprained it again.. not as much tho, but enough to put me into a bed for few weeks... (1st time i had a 1st-2nd degree sprain... partial/total tear of ligaments)
u gotta train ur leg and make those ligaments extra strong once they heal.. u have to do this or u will have many more sprains in the future (and every time ur ligaments will get weaker)
have u started doing physio yet?

              omg that sux!!

Stay off of it as much as you can becuase if you don't, it's going to take longer to heal. If you heard a little crack when you came down on it, you should be still using crutches becuase you shouldn't have any weight on it while you're walking around for a few weeks at least.

Yea, it does really suck. I feel your pain dreamgirl. I rolled my old Grand Cherokee back in March of last year. And I had to wear a cast on my arm for awhile so the cut on my arm would heal up.
RIP Gearedup and Marc. I'll see you at the crossroads someday guys

Just be careful not to resprain it once a week like I did mine.

thank you OWG... last night I was on it alot, had to teach gymnastics... it was all swollen when I got home... can't wait to see what the doctor says tomorrow. Still lifting everyday though, that doesn't seem to bother it... just can't do any squats...
