You rarely see young kids splatting their brains agains the dividers. I also see lots of old people taking red lights and stop signs left and right. That myth is the insurance companies' most favorite excuse to raise insurance rates. It's unfounded IMO. They have to do it because people here sue for just about everything and they have to make up for the loss.
Anyway, when was the last time you saw a young kid kill 9 people in a car accident all over the news?? I also believe that driving slow is not only a reason for like/dislike situation but it can also be cause to an accident.
don't want to argue, but you are way off. there are never excuses for raising rates there are always reasons. an insurance company does not like to raise rates reguardless of what you think. its a big process with lots of research and you only see a higher bill so you get pissed. youthful drivers are the worst its not an opinion its a fact. there are not really any young drivers in a city compared to everywhere else. believe me there is alot more behind the curtain!

That may be so where you live but here in NJ it's publicly know that the reason why they raise the insurance rates is not because theft or young aggressive drives or even elderly drivers, it's because people get in a fender bender and they sue in an instant. Then young drivers like me pay the bill. Offfff course they have to excuse the increase and they blame it on whatever group that shows slightly more statistical accidents. You would only hear that line of deffense from someone like you that works for an insurance company.
Oh and you better believe I get pissed when I have to pay the kind of premium I pay with a god damn perfect record!

i'm 110% for the removal/retesting of older drivers, yet when i think about it, when i'm 60-70 i'd kick anyones ass that tells me i know shit about driving...
