Yep, some people are very bad off, and I feel for them (bipolar etc), but there comes a point when you have to pick up your ass off the ground and take care of shit.

Haven't read the post, couldn't get in, so don't know the indepth details.

In my business occasionally I deal with such issues.
In general these folks are very very very very sick, and need immediate medical attention and lots of it right now.

The mind like a body part can become overtrained and damaged.
Whereas a damaged bodypart only effects one specific item, a damaged mind affects the whole complete body, ie, depression.

Depression does not allow and will not allow a person to a make a rational decsion.

Depression is a 100% total lack of joy in ones life. There is in the mind, no reason to go on because nothing not one thing makes them feel good. Just imagine trying to train and you can only lift 5 lbs dumbells even though you know you can lift 100's and no matter how you try you cannot get past 5's, and no matter what you do it does not change, not diet, not rest, not AS, you would feel hopeless, and thus no joy.

Again, I did not read the post, so can't comment specifically, just in general depression is very serious and needs to be addressed in such a way.
