not really, we had a check point to look at a demilitarized zone between serbs and bosnian. Anyway, we received our weekly food, and no potatoes and we wanted to cook fries. So there was a field next to us and the crop was potatoes, so we knew the ingineers passed there some days before, so it was cleaned. We stole 20 or so, went back to our shit, we started pealing them off, suddenly one of my men peeled one off but removed the pin, man he realized and he threw it as far as possible. we all looked at him HUH
he yelled grenade, we jumped on the ground, the fucking potato didnt exploded, so we look at the direction, ready to call the eod, suddenly BROUP!!!! fries flying over us

yes, what happened and it happened often is that some grenade or bombs are left out in the open and vegetation will take their place. So in this case, the potato formed itself over a grenade, so she covered the full grenade.
