U Know What? Life isn't so bad.........

Well, today I played hookie from work, just didn't feel like puttin up with the business world today.

So I'm sittin watchin Maury, relaxin with my protein shake

So its commericial time. One of those "sponsor a child" infomercials comes up. I'm sittin there watchin these poor kids. I mean, they have absolutely nuthing! NOTHING! It really really hit me. I guess cuz I ***** and complain if things are goin tuff, then I see these kids and the thought that they actually live like this is horrible!

Just sittin there for 3 minutes staring at the TV watching these kids live in houses made of mattresses got me thinkin........My life is great! I have my health, I live in a great country, I have a decent job and so what if I'm single LOL. I needed to watch something like that, to appreciate what I have in my life.......which is alot more than those kids, who have no future and nothing to look forward to

So I think I'm gonna sponsor a child

That is sad, America is more wonderfull than we make it out to be. I have done some mission trips over seas to third world countries and it really opens your eyes to a whole new view on life - how lucky we are. These kids do not have anything - they watch their parents killed in front of them and have to live in a lot of pain. In Bosnia there was mass graves filled with children. Without going into the sick detail - it was incredibly disturbing.
I think for me I don't want to open my eyes sometimes to remember the people who live in hell, hoping to just find food for one more day. It just breaks my heart.
We are very blessed to live in freedom - that is for sure.
