Thanks Frig.. I'll keep you in mind if I ever come across some venison.
Lemon based marinade is difficult because lemon generally overpowers any other spices and flavors.

    You could try:

    Juice of one lemon
3-5 tablespoons of oil (I generally use extra virgin olive oil)
2 tablespoons minced shallots (or red onion-its' a little stronger)
    1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon chopped flat leaf parsley
    pinch of salt
fresh ground pepper - two three twists

if you want a mexican flavor-
    substitute chopped cilantro for parsley
substitute juice of two limes for lemon

This is more like a vinagarette dressing.

Best used on chicken or basted on fish. You could also add dill (if salmon for example) or thyme is also good if chicken.

This is best kept simple to allow the lemon flavor to come through.
So be sure that you are makin the best of what that you have
the truth is all within yourself

RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.

Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.

you would want to boil them first and let them sit for a day and then you cook them, this is how it happens
