  • Got Gear?

Have you been to the US before? If so, what state?

I've never been to Canada, the farthest North i've ever been is San Francisco.

When people say BC, is that like a state in Cadada? BC is to Canada, what Texas is to the USA?

    Lol..

Canada is a funny place bro.

I've been to the US many times. Been to more US states than I've been to Canadian provinces (province and state are basically the same thing)

Letse.. I've been to Washington, California, Nevada, Idaho, Ohio(sp?)

I don't know if you could go as far as saying BC is like the texas of Canada. We just seem to be more relaxed when it comes to marijuana. BC is also big into tourism because it's got some of the best weather and scenery in Canada. Wherever you have tourism, you tend to have a large wealthy population (like to retire here) and alot of Party spots. The Okanagan Valley (where I live in BC) is one of the few places where both Golf courses and Ski hills are open 8 months of the year, all within a 1hr drive. Summer temperatures often hit the 100*F mark, so it's not really the actic tundra that alot of americans picture when they think of Canada.

BC is also the size of about 4 typical US states. There's 13 (last I checked anyway) different provinces/terratories in Canada, yet Canada is geographicaly larger than the US so obviosly our provinces/terratories tend to be alot larger than US states.

We also have a couple of "Terratories" Like the Northwest Terratories...

I have no idea why they call them terratories instead of provinces like the others. Probably some BS pr thing back when Canada was being formed. Basically Terratory and Province are both the Canadian equivilent of a US state.

                IN theory no

the founding colonies that are now provinces can be considered as states such as the 13 foundings colonies.

BUT, the rest of the provinces out west are federal creation and therefore are provinces, not similar to states.
