  • Re-Gaining Trust

I guess this question could be both ways. If your significant other has done something wrong i.e cheating on you. Do you think that you could trust them again and if you could how long would it take. I know in different situations it would differ.
Now who I am is who I'll be until I die
either accept it or don't fuck with it

IMO, if you don't have trust, then you have nothing.

If you forgive that significant other for cheating on you, then they are forgiven & full trust should be given to them, if not, don't bother because you will be wasting your time.

LM i agree I mean this is what a relationship is based on. I mean if it was someone i have only been with someone for a short while i would have to let them go, but say if my girl ever did, i think of all the times we have cried together, laughed together and the times we shared, i would trust her again.

fuck no, once they cheat on mei say "Fuck You Get out of My Life". I cannot re-trust someone that has rboken my heart. If i were to ever get cheated on I will completly go insane and beat the living crap out of the guy and god knows what I'll do to the girl.:2gunsfiri

Its ok guys, if someone betrays you, they can be forgiven fully. Whether it be cheating or lying. Nobody is perfect and in any moment of weakness or situation, shit happens.

This does not mean they don't love you or care about you or had evil intentions to betray you, so forgive them, forgiveness is a wonderful thing to be able to do.

But remember, the moment you forgive, then its over with, don't ever bring it up again, like when you get into a fight, you can't say, "remember when you did such & such", if you bring it up and throw it in their face, then you didn't truely forgive them to begin with.

I agree with NJJuicer (after taking awhile to read and re-read to see what he was saying). Once someone betrays you, unless you are mother theresa or like a saint yourself you will always have that in the back of your head of what they did to you. Every arguement it will be brought up and it will be a thorn in the relationship for years. I have divorce to show for it.
Its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog...

true.........personally though if someone cheated on me I would have to even the score then we could forgive each other ...

Honestly, I don't know if I could ever forgive something like that.....hopefully I will never know.

I think that before you can forgive someone they have to ask for forgiveness then if they do then you should forgive him or her not only for him or her but for yourself.
